Priya Ramarao-Milne 43rd Lorne Genome Conference 2022

Priya Ramarao-Milne

Dr Priya Ramarao-Milne completed her Ph.D. in cancer genomics at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, focusing on identifying actionable variants and drug repurposing opportunities in patient whole-genome sequencing data from multiple tumour types. She has almost 10 years of experience in cancer research, performing in-vitro experiments as well as big data analytics. Currently, she is a CERC Post-doctoral Fellow at CSIRO, applying cloud-based machine learning tools to analyse human and viral genomes to identify mutations associated with diseases such as COVID-19, breast cancer and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Her interests lie in precision genomics and developing variant surveillance methods for infectious diseases.
