Xiaohua Shen

Xiaohua Shen is a Professor at Tsinghua University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and completed postdoctoral training with Stuart H. Orkin at Harvard Medical School. Her research investigates how genome information is organized, interpreted, and selected to generate stable cellular states and developmental programs. Her laboratory combines genomics, imaging, biochemical reconstitution, and theoretical modeling to uncover the physical principles of biological information flow, with a focus on the noncoding genome, nuclear organization, RNA networks, and probabilistic genome usage.
